As sad as I was seeing my family go off to Vancouver without me...attending cousin Billy's wedding and having a good ol' Wong family reunion; I've had a blast so far at home. :o)

Went to Aletheia camp...and it was a wonderful trip. I didn't want to go before, and when I did decide to go, it became a real blessing to share and fellowship with brothers and sisters that I normally wouldn't have been able to. I realize now that there is still a role for me there even tho I'm away 8 months a year. Yay. I'm glad, because I found it really difficult to integrate back into Aletheia this summer. Kinda stuck in a limbo and not fitting in a category. But there are still ways for us offer our support to them, and give our gifts. :o)

Moved some things into London on Sunday, and had a good time with banana and the prince of tennis! ;o)

Went rock-climbing at Rock Oasis on Monday night...and it was so much more intense than my first time! Thanks to my awesome belay buddy Sportacas and chalk. lol....owww.....so painful. As I should have used more of my lower body than my upper. My fingers, forearms throbbed in pain when I tried to sleep...and I almost went for painkillers...hehhe. No worries, I didn't...but sleep refused to come. ;P Got some well earned bruises too...fun times.

Now looking forward to a Niagara road trip with my girls! It's about time...as we've been all talk for who knows how many years now. What a great way to end off this summer.

In other news, the Lord is so faithful in His promises...*grin* Some days I'm scared to check my email, fearing rejection from possible ACF leaders this year...but in those times is when I get a "yes" and it totally makes my day. Can't wait to have things started up in L-dot. YAaaayyyyyyyy! *jumps and throws pom-poms*

P.S. Miss you braceface/gracie-pooh...thanks for the fun days of unemployment I had with you. We were way too cool for work. Be good!

Funny random quotes and thoughts:

I like Simba's snore...
dark chocolate Maltesers are yummy!

Karen: "I miss your evil laugh..."

10 yr-old cousin Sharon: "I pity you...actually, I don't."
"I like sushi, and it likes me...except for the rice, which falls out at every bite."

Poem by Sharon: I LOVE CHEESE AND I EAT IT WITH EASE
I KNOW IT IS MOLD AND LIKE IT REAL COLD
I KNOW IT IS SOMETHING some PEOPLE HATE
BUT I KNOW THE TRUTH IT'S REALLY JUST GREAT
NOW YOU KNOW THAT CHEESE IS MOLD AND I LOVE IT COLD
I LOVE CHEESE AND YOU KNOW IT SO YOU'LL JUST HAVE TO STICK WITH IT!

Kelvin...way to go! You've had the wool pulled over everyone's eyes...congrats to you two. :o) Wow...I was completely shocked beyond belief when you told me. hehe. Thanks for listening to me blab for that period of time--while restraining your happy news. I'm beyond happy, just knowing how much joy you two bring to one another. *grin* There is no better guy for my sis. I'm on your side now. keke.

Everyone's getting married. Love and joy is abound. :D

Practically speaking...I'm involved in more planning and helping out this time around. We all estimated 2007...boy we were wrong. ;o) Oooh, I can now live out my childhood dream of becoming a dentist vicariously through my future brother-in-law. yay!

My cousins are coming from Conn. tomorrow! Perfect time as it's my last day at work tomorrow.

Thank you for being you. I couldn't have asked for more. :o)

SOooo....it's been a while since I've last blogged. But at least it hasn't been a year like some of you out there! Since there's a few, I won't say who... A lot has happened since July. July in summary was one tough cookie. Spiritually, mentally, emotionally....but He pulled me through it...and now though Aug. is mostedly (Sonja's word!) jam-packed too, it's changes each experience for the better when I have the right attitude.

Work has been really good since my realization that this job was an answered prayer. Thank you for those keeping me in check...ie. my mom and others. I going into my 6th and final week at the pension plan company. It first started out as a 3-day temp assignment. I guess they liked me.

Hol and Cae's wedding was a huge success! Beautiful, sweet, sentimental ceremony, and fun, elegant banquet. Hol was the most relaxed and calm bride. I definitely was more nervous and anxious than her! As I worried about my MC stint with P. Arthur. But it went incredibly smoothly, and it was an honour to stand alongside my dear 2nd sista...and help them celebrate their joyous day. :o)

Went up to Ottawa this past weekend for exec retreat and acf planning. I've known this group for 3 years now, and now have the chance to bond and serve together...it's amazing and such a blessing. I'm soo excited for this school year, and for all that the Lord has in store for us! Ooo...another worthy mention...it was a really fun car ride back to T.O. with just the boys....awesome sing-a-long guys! I'm VERY impressed that we all know and love to sing Disney songs. Next time I want to be Gaston...keke.

Hey...I've finished reading 4 books this summer. That's pretty good...
1. The Normal Christian Life (Watchman Nee) really good.
2. Confessions of a Shopaholic (Sophie Kinsella) funny, witty.
3. Get the Word Out (John Teter) ..finally getting through Urbana 03 books!
4. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (J.K. Rowling) ...call me stubborn, but I still won't change my views on Prof. Snape. I won't spoil it here for ppl who wants to read it still....but yeah. Come talk to me. :o)
