Things are really starting to get busy...my mind is getting mixed up with dates, events etc......ahhhhhhhh! Work is getting busy too, gotta plan for two parties for the kids in the reading club. How can I organize games and stuff for 60 kids packed in a room, with ages from 3-12? This is when I expect Mrs. Doubtfire to leap over the half wall, shouting "Help is on the way" with her lovely accent.

Fun weekend...had Korean BBQ with Cho, Sam and friends...HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOU TWO! (for Jul 29)
Played soccer on Sunday in the sweltering heat...my endurance for running has dropped back to zero. But I did score 3 goals, two for my team, and one for the other team. Oops. = P

Oh my.......never saw Martha Stewart in this light before.......I've always heard rumours of her temper, foul mouth and meanness, but how she turned herself into a billionaire isn't exactly respectable either...I still love her ideas, and products, and is still the most successful female entrepeneur, but I don't hold her at such a high regard anymore, knowing that she coerced, and plowed over many ppl to get where she is. Her marriage of 25 yrs ended when her husband finally left her dictatorship, and she admitted that she wasn't much of a mother either. It's almost tragic to see how she lost her husband, and many friends and family to her own greed and ambition. =/

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was VERY good. It took me a good month to finish it, reading 2 chapters a day. It is intriguing, sometimes even scary, changing the mood of this series. It's getting more and more dark, b/c evil has been gaining ground steadily. I'm not too sure what the kids think of The Order of the Pheonix, but I wouldn't recommend Harry Potter to kids under 13, cause even I had bad dreams about it!

I've just realized how different ACF prayer meetings are from any other corporate prayer time that I've experienced. It's so wonderful just to sit and listen for the Holy Spirit to move us, to burden us to pray for each other, and not praying for our own burdens. I think all our problems diminish and seem petty once we focus on His Will. We were at Rob's yesterday, and we worshipped, prayed, and shared with one another. Here is the main difference, we prayed, then shared. I've been so used to sharing before praying, so that we know what to pray for. But by switching it around, we rely solely on the Holy Spirit to compell us to pray for certain things. After we shared, I realized we have been praying for those exact things, burdens, and visions others had. How amazing is that?

One of my childhood dreams has come true...no no, it's not Prince Charming, but once you hear what it is, you'll think I'm really silly, or worse, pathetic. I remember distinctly that as a child, my mom would take Karen and I to the public library every Saturday. It was so much fun, and we would borrow as many books as possible if my mom had allowed us. (yes, we were very geeky bookworms) =P As the librarian checked out our books using the scanner, I was amazed by it. It looked so much fun scanning, and stamping, scanning and stamping. Okay, you get the point. I thought to myself that one day, I want to be doing just that. I didn't want to be a librarian when I grow up, but just someone who gets to scan and stamp books all day. Even in school, I would play 'library' with my classmates, and I would pretend to scan and stamp books. So at work today, hardly any children were in b/c of the rain, so my supervisor was like "can you check these books out for withdrawal?" I got to scan and stamp for a good hour! It was such good mindless fun. Alright, you can stop making weird faces now. Back to some more mindless work!

Been reading a cool kid's book of oxymorons at the library....here's a few: freezer burn, old news, the original copy, black light, open secret, working vacation, baby grand, pretty ugly, passive-aggressive, and civil war (picture of two soldier's apologizing to each other for their wounds) very funny pictures......either that, or maybe I'm so bored that anything is amusing that this moment! hehhe...4 hours to go!

The short-term missions team is coming home from Nashville tomorrow!

Correction: Paul Kariya took an $8.8 million paycut instead. THat's CrAzy! And it goes to show his unique character. I like that. = )

Got to see Legally Blonde 2 yesterday.....pretty cute and funny. If you like the Audi TT coupe, you're gonna love what Reese drives.....a beautiful Baby Blue TT Roadster!
Hurray......half-way through the work week!

Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!! The BIGGEST news over the weekend. Well this actually happened a week ago, but I'm out of the loop okay? Paul Kariya and Teemu Selanne are gonna play for the AVS!!! How great is that? It's pretty crazy how Kariya's willing to take like a $7 million dollar pay cut, just to have a stab at winning a Stanley Cup. The Avanlanche team is soo stacked for this season. I kinda feel bad for the rest of the league. Him going to Colorado is almost as great as if he came to Toronto. = )

Brrr......so chilly at work. I constantly blowing my nose even though I don't have a cold. It's like 17 degrees at the library all the time.....I'm wearing a sweater indoors, fully aware that the rest of T.O. is sufferering from 30+ temperatures, and a smog alert. I want to go outside to warm-up!

I hope everyone had an excellent Canada Day (especially those up in Ottawa!) I really enjoyed my day off work.....got to sleep in a little, then spent time at a friend's house with other family friends....Mmmmm, so much good food! I'm still thinking of the chocolate bread pudding. *drools* Then some of us 'kids' played ultimate frisbee at MHDS, didn't realize how great it was to run around barefoot in the grass. lol.
