Very exhausted after a weekend at ACF retreat. But let me tell you, it was WELL worth it. *sigh* PRAISE GOD! HALLELUJAH! These past 3 days has been an awesome Spirit-filled experience, and everything is conglomerated in my head right now. I will try to express what I truly want to say over the next few days, so bear with me.
On a side note, one simple truth I learned this weekend is that God is no man's debtor. He will never owe us anything. Whatever we give to him, simply cannot surpass the gifts and blessings He pours out into our lives. How amazing is that? At the end of retreat today, we had the usual food auction. I lost the bid to a bag of apples, and an apple pie. Guess what I got when I arrived home? (okay, this story doesn't really relate to what I said earlier about God being no man's debtor; but it reminded me of it, okay? =) My mom had sent food to me w/ my old roommate to bring to me when she drove back in today. Yay! Not just any food, APPLES! Oranges, bananas, peaches, chinese vegetables, bread, soup, steak, mashed potatoes and my favorite snack: raisins! Oh my. Having just experienced such a weekend, I couldn't help it but cry. (I'm I being too sappy?) My mother loves me so much, caring for me, supporting me even when she's not here. It's so moving. Now I am convicted of the false mentality I once had, believing that I was just the forgotten middle child. So, I'm here to say, "I'm sorry for ever doubting you, I love you mom. Thank you!" (I don't know if you're reading this, since you hardly ever use the net) So how much greater does our Heavenly Father love us? This was the theme for the retreat; Christ's love. stay tuned.
